I am excited and it is effecting my sleep patterns...but I get at least 6 hrs of sleep at night and usually take an hours nap in the afternoon....so I am not sleep deprived. I could sleep longer in the AM...but my dogs must be very attentive to my stirring and once I roll over or shift my position....they begin their good morning routine of licking and shaking and moving about....they are very aware that "somethings going on here" and are in a high state of preparedness. LOL In the new house we need new routines. lol

Elston, I was packing and rearranging boxes in my sleep last nite! Finally got up around 4:45 and watched some TV, hoping to get sleepy...NOT!! So, after a cup of coffee, I settled down in front of my computer!! Soon, we will both be once again surrounded by boxes, but in the unpacking mode!! YAY!!!

Bebette-How about some strawberries? Just sprinkle with brown sugar, dash of black pepper, balsamic vinegar. Whipped cream, poundcake or shortcake yum.

This is my idea of cooking:

A great fruit cake recipe
You'll need the following: a cup of water, a cup of sugar, four large eggs, two cups of dried fruit, a teaspoon of baking soda, a teaspoon of salt, a cup of brown sugar, lemon juice, nuts, and a bottle of tequila.

Sample the tequila to check for quality.

Take a large bowl. Check the tequila again. To be sure it is the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar and beat again.

Make sure the tequila is still okay. Cry another tup. Turn off the mixer. Break two leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the tequila to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Who cares? Check the tequila. Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Spoon. Of sugar or something. Whatever you can find.

Grease the oven. Turn the cake tin to 350 degrees. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Throw the bowl out of the window, check the tequila again and go to bed.

Lacey, I actually have a half bag of 'frozen' strawberries in the freezer that I had forgotten about and since I don't want to have to throw them away, Strawberries and whipped cream on cake sounds perfect!! THANKS!!!!

Tonight is haddock fish (on sale at Harris Teeter), baked potatoes and peas. Have never had haddock myself but hubbie assures me it is great!

It's good Cyn-white and mellow-not fishy tasting at all.
