LaceyEx: The Mrs. makes em every other month, alternating between clam cakes and corn fritters. Tasty but fattening.

movingtohouston: Truth be known I would rather eat peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches (also fattening) but so good for the soul

Okay, here is Mrs. RCG's recipe:

ITALIAN WEDDING SOUP
Served as the first course at every New England Italian wedding

Ingredients
Use the basic meatballs recipe but form into bite sized balls
4 cans chicken broth
½ cup orzo or other small pasta
1 T parsley flakes

In a saucepot, mix the parsley flakes into the broth and bring it to a boil then drop in the meat balls. Reduce heat to simmer for 10 minutes. Add the pasta and let simmer until the pasta is cooked.

Easy one-nice piece of beef, can of beer, package Lipton onion soup, 3 or 4 cloves of garlic. Cook all day. Remove meat and shread, add back to liquid, serve of crusty rolls (dip rolls slightly in liquid). Serve with lots of napkins.
Lacey, I've been salivating over this since I read it last week. Well, we had this tonight and it came out SOOOO good! I also made some gravy from the juices which turned out good as well.

Now I still have to make TampaKaren's sausage balls. I finally got some ground sausage, so hopefully tomorrow or Thursday.

And I wonder why I have a tire around my middle?

I am so glad you enjoyed it. Many years ago we had gone to a bar in St.Paul and that's all he served and figured out what he used. It was called Mayslack's and the t-shirts read "NoBody beat's Mayslack's Meat". He's long gone but his beef was awesome.

Tires come from that darn gravity thing!

Congratulations! Hope the floor was worth the nightmare!!!

I'm making chicken in foil parcels tomorrow, with tomatoes, lots of basil and a drop of white wine inside.

To be served over cous cous, with baby spinach and lemon and mint dressing.
