I've never liked cook green beans very much, but I loved raw ones the one time I had them.

I've never heard of raw green beans being poisonous. I think someone is pulling your leg.

I love 'em.

When I was a kid visiting my grandparents, it was my job to de-stem them. About a quarter of them went missing before they could be cooked.

I was going to post something similar! The thread brought back memories of picking them in my grandmother's garden and then cleaning them on the front porch. And eating them.

You and my late brother-in-law. Green beans actually made him nauseous. But every one of his kids and grandkids love green beans.
