In our oven 'self clean' means squat. We still have to pull the racks, scrub it, scrub it some more, all stooped down.

This thing I just turn it on broil, let it bake off, pick it up and move it to the edge of sink and swipe it out a few times and it's done. We can put the racks and the broiler trays in the dishwasher. Waaay easier.

A side-track for sure, but I just thought I'd mention that many oven doors can be removed, which makes wiping down the interior of the oven much easier.

I used to have a toaster-over that I bought used. I cooked everything in that baby that needed to be baked or broiled.

I think the average wattage of an operating oven is about 2.1kw.........and a toaster-oven uses about 1.2kw, big difference.

I always use oven for toasting toast, grilling chicken, french fries and small pizzas. I only used oven for toasting. Not used more.
