Oh man this thread is taylor made for me.

Costco is the cheapest place I can find large quantities of nuts. Selection is limited though.

Yeah, just make sure they are not from China
I like mine from Sprouts, but got also some good deals at Wild Oats and Wegmans.

My mom likes the nuts.com site but I sent them an email asking if their nuts are from local sources than overseas. All this talk of China on this board has me really questioning things.

Yup always check the country of origin.

I believe pine nuts are the only nuts they offer from China.

We don't have Cosco as most of you have heard me say, so we buy from Sam's and I usually have 3 or 4 kinds in the freezer. I did check: 3 are from USA or Mex and my pine nuts are a product of China. I will still use them, but after I finish I will not buy them again. I think I am going to make some pesto.

Aaaand I take back the recommendation. I got an email that they said quite a few of their nuts are from China.

I pay $5 for a 1lb bag of almond at trader joes. Pecans and walnuts cost more. How much are the nuts at costco's?
