I've always loved eating lemons with salt. My mom does, too. I think the salt counteracts the tartness better than sugar does.

Anyway, it did damage my teeth enamel, so I don't do it anymore. (Well, maybe once in a great while.)

Same here! Salt for citrus except when making lemonade or limeade.

I like to eat lemon slices - no salt or sugar, though I may try the salt.

The best lemons I've had were the home grown ones from AZ. They were the size of grapefruit and were sweeter than the lemons you buy in the store.

hah, interesting post, never occurred to me either that anyone would consider eating a raw lemon. I could not do that, to sour for my taste bud, & yet I do like it on fish or salmon patties, I can tolerate it in my iced tea, just not in a restaurant, love lemon meringue pie, so scrumptious. Eat the lemon peel too??? you've got to be kidding, the skin is tough. Some of you people have mighty strong teeth & a cooperating strong stomach. I think if I ate the lemon peel I would be rushed to the ER. I would never even eat an orange peel either.
