Red wine vinegar help? (marinade, recipe, meat, flavor)

Have a recipe to use red wine vinegar to marinade, is there a problem using distilled white vinegar with red wine??

I don't think so, but the flavor might be off.

Just don't marinade too long, it will break down the meat to mush.
