Brussels sprouts
Raw oysters

and my most shameful...

...canned mushrooms. Straight from the can, with a fork.

I know, they're nothing but rubbery sodium shaped like a mushroom slice, but I love them so much. I love all types of fresh mushrooms too, and these taste nothing like those, but it doesn't matter. I dislike all other types of canned vegetable, but for some reason, I can't resist the plasticky salty allure of the canned 'shroom.

Most people hate brussels sprouts as they are generally grossly overcooked and underseasoned.

Also gross people out when we eat escargot and we LOVE escagot!

A friend of mine used to eat a strange sandwich that consisted of sliced boiled potatoes with ketchup.
Yea! Another escargot lover.

Never met a vegetable that I didn't like either!

I love dandelions, nettles, kohlrabi, and any thing bitter or pickled.

My grandmother believed that every spring we should drink dandelion tea or eat thistle vegetables. I love them to this day.

Anchovies
Sardines
Fishy fish in general
Lima beans
Brussels sprouts
Sweetbreads
Liverwust
Also, liver.
Sushi
Haggis, especially if it is real, fresh, peppery butcher-made haggis
Also, neeps and tatties (google haggis, neeps and tatties. Yes, I used to live in Scotland.)
Black (aka blood) pudding
Cilantro
Lamb
Goose and duck meat
Menudo (tripe) soup
Okra, only if cooked dry-curry style
Cauliflower, also curried

Sheena, growing up in the UK we ate nettles (didn't like those), dandelion greens, seaweed, burdock root, wild garlic, elderberries and other wild plants frequently. I used to make a nettle rinse for my hair.

Scrambled eggs with grape jelly is just WRONG.

great list. i was brought up by my dad to try many varieties of food at least once. to this day i'm open to try new things. my list:

seaweed
kare kare - filipino ox tail dish
ox tail soup

hawaiian dishes:

na'au - pig intestines, quite good actually
poi - like my dad, i refer and always ask for day old poi - more sour
poke - raw fish cubes (ahi is best), soy (shoyu), seaweed, chopped green onions (my mouth is watering)
tripe stew - inner lining of the cows stomach, tomato base soup, potatos, carrots, yummy
limu - seaweed dish
lau lau - pork, butterfish wrapped in leaves and steamed

i posted in another thread i was at a dim sum place and they had dishes of a seaweed salad. these are bright green, mixture of textures of green / different seaweed, a touch of sweetness and pickled vinagar tasting - very good. they have this at asian buffets and sushi buffet restaurants. my mom makes a killer seaweed soup - korean style.
