Faux cheese Danish. I made it with two slices of lightly-toasted cinnamon swirl bread topped with a mixture of ricotta, brown sugar, vanilla, orange zest, and cinnamon and then put it under the broiler. Not fabulous but definitely healthier than the real thing, which, as I get older, does not taste that great either.

Isn't that weird how our taste buds change? I used to be an absolute sugar fiend but after 50 find that I like fewer and fewer of the goodies I used to die for.
