Homemade tomato sauce (yes, the plants are still producing!) over spaghetti, courtesy of DH.

Ree Drummond's (The Pioneer Woman) recipe for Broccoli and Cheese soup with Ham in Bread Bowls.

Looked great when she made it on her show, I had to make it - kind of overcast and gloomy here today.

I watch her for good everyday food, now that Paula is gone.

O.m.g. Last night we had a New England Clambake. We (me, hubby, 2 grown kids) are from CT, born & raised there. Migrated to south Louisiana 11 years ago. We've been talking about having some of this stuff shipped in for years, literally.
Finally did it with a couple of other people, 8 ppl total. Had lobsters, steamers, cherrystones, mussels. Being overnighted, this shellfish was so fresh it was amazing. Just delicious. And the people from here seemed to really like it all, lack of spiciness and all!

And on tonight's dinner menu was homemade New England (of course) Clam Chowder, and Lobster Rolls. So freakin good. (Somehow they shipped 4 extra lobsters so i had extra for the lobster rolls!) Gonna call them about that tomorrow.

Sounds different and delicious!

So you dredge them lightly with flour and fry them. She made an herb garlic butter sauce too. Also parsley new potatoes and summer squash.
I need to catch that show, looks like it's going to be good. Fish fixed that way sounds awesome.

That is really weird, I had a someone at work just recently tell me they did the same thing to him and I had NEVER heard that before. Must be something to it.

It's Thanksgiving, so we are having T-Day dinner.

Roasted Turkey breast, gravy made with fresh made turkey stock, bread and sausage stuffing, twice baked mashed potatoes, mushrooms, brown sugar carrots, fresh cranberry sauce. A glass of red wine to drink. I made a traditional baked cheesecake for dessert (my fav) with fresh raspberries to top it.

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!
