McDonalds got such a bad rap back in the early 00's so I was wondering if anyone still actually ate there. I know other fast food joints like Arby's and Taco Bell are just as bad, if not worse but they did not seem to get as much bad publicity as McD's. If you eat there, how often and what do you usually order?

I don't eat fast food, but I always see many cars in those places, so - yes, people still eat there.

Two or three times a week, the drive-thru for coffee. Once in a blue moon for a grilled chicken wrap or a salad...or both. Cannot even remember the last time I had a meal of any kind from there.

My parents eat there twice a day. Sometimes I end up going with them, if they're visiting me and I can't convince them to let me cook for them instead. McDonalds is always packed, especially with people letting their kids play on the playground while they use the free wifi.

What bad rap did McDonald's get? Any restaurant can be unhealthy if you make bad choices. I would rate Cheesecake Factory as ten times worse than McDonald's.

A McDs Big Mac is like 500 calories. What kills you is also getting a large fries and a soda. I just went to Wendy's web site last week. All of their salads were 700 calories, and that is BEFORE adding any salad dressing. A 700 calories salad? Really?

I wouldn't eat a big Mac every day or even every week (because of the fat, sodium, and lack of any positive nutrition), but get it with a side salad and water and it won't kill you.

Of course people still eat at McDonald's. And Burger King, Jack in the Box, Popeye's, and all the other "joints" of their kind.

Just like the occasional glass of wine, the once-in-a-while Big Mac won't kill you. The problem is not fast food. The problem is self-control.

McD's does make a great cup of coffee.

Sometimes a Egg McMuffin or a Quarter Pounder will sneak their way into a bag along with my coffee. I consider it a "treat", not to be eaten any more frequently than once a month or so.

Those calorie counts are including a salad dressing and a piece of fried chicken.

There certainly must be many thousands still eating at McDonald as they are still in business and doing well. The only thing I get there is their coffee and hot fudge sundae. IMO their burgers are like shoe leather.

Sure, I eat there sometimes. I usually grab an egg white McMuffin and OJ for breakfast on the way to work, or one of their egg, cheese, and steak bagels. Sometimes , when I don't feel like cooking, I will grab some McNuggets, or a Big Mac and some fries too.

They must be doing great because the drive thru lane is always backed up.
