Most frequently used as a breading for fish or in cornbread.

I grew up eating cornmeal mush for breakfast - these days it is called Polenta.

Thanks, Nomad... had no idea that there were that many calories in just one cup of yellow cornmeal!

Yikes... don't even want to think about how many in the jalapeno cornbread I make with all the oil, eggs, milk, creamed corn and cheese in it, along with the jalapeno's and onions!
