I am curious what kinds of prices people pay for food across the Country. For me, I mostly purchase meat, poultry and seafood at a reduced price or on sale.

What kind of deal did you get within the last couple of days or today?

Seafood is sort of expensive here. Whenever we visit the West Coast we indulge in seafood. Maritimes,Nova Scotia is far for us,but seafood is tasty there too. For some odd reason frozen smoked Atlantic salmon is here on sale many times throughout the year. Matter of fact we are going to buy tomorrow the store out ..for birthday celebrations coming up and New Years Eve

Wow! I think last week I saw grapefruit on sale for 2 for $1.00.

Although I am not a huge grapefruit fan (I add sugar ), even 2 for $1.00 would be beat the price I paid for Navel oranges - $1.99/pound. Next time, I'll eye the grapefruit for my citrus fruit.

Seafood is expensive here also - even our staples: Alaskan King crab, salmon, halibut, etc. When I buy those products, they are either reduced or on sale.

The shrimp I purchased today was not from Alaska but from somewhere in the USA and the regular price was $8.99/pound (with the discount card) or $10.99/pound without the discount card.

Are you in Wisconsin? Their cheeses tend to be less expensive, I think.

EXCELLENT deal! I've been craving grapefruite but not at $1.00 apiece.
