I just finished making a TRIPLE batch of pumpkin bread, the last 5 are in the oven now. It smells glorious in here right now! Smells like the holidays!

What are you making?

I am having a marvelous time baking and cooking today while it's so cold outside.

I just finished baking the last skillet of homemade corn bread for corn bread dressing. I am about to boil the chicken. Just boiled the 8 eggs and I'm about to start mincing onions (ugh!) and celery (not so bad as chopping up onions though - I can barely stand up while I'm chopping onions due to the tears!).

Tomorrow I am going to bake two pies - a chocolate pie and a cottage cheese pie. The cottage cheese pie is a first for me so we'll see!

And that pumpkin bread sounds terrific. My parents and I just finished off a loaf of pumpkin bread that we bought at a farmers' market over the weekend. YUMMY!

I just finished my Rueben cheese ball. it is hardening in the fridge so I can form the ball or in this case, 2 of them. I was going to do my sour cream muffins as well, but I forgot and decided to clean the oven. Of course that takes until dinner time, so guess, along with everything else, tomorrow I will do the muffins and the spiced nuts. They only take a few minutes.

I baked my first two 'Baumkuchen ' Global Table Adventure | Recipe: German Tree Cake (Baumtorte/Baumkuchen)

in a round shape to fit in large cookie tins and I send them tonight overseas. It is a tradition to bake Christmas cookies and send them to family and friends overseas and locally. Closer to the holidays I also bake for the homeless shelter.Because it takes me every year about 3 to 4 weeks,6 hours/day,5 days/week, I start already around this time. The smell in the house is just divine

Not exactly cooking, per se, but I'm making half-dills.

White bean chicken chili.
Nothing holiday about it! But my neighbor across the road has had a couple of strokes and has a hard time getting around so I often cook double and share.

Tonight I am making cookies in anticipation of grandchildren, who will be in residence for a few days. Oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, gooey butter bars, and Reese's Pieces. My house smells so good.
