Next thing you know someone will come up with Depends for Drippy Turkeys.

Personally I always make sure to get potty trained turkeys so they don't drip around the house.

"A frozen turkey won't drip juices around the kitchen that could cause sickness"

People let their thawed meat drip all over the floor and counter? And don't clean it up? And then apparently they eat off the dirty counter or play soccer with their apples and tomatoes or something.

How idiot proof do we really need to make things?

I'm really not buying their frozen turkey being tender and juicy either. I've cooked frozen meat before. I don't even like to cook meat until it comes to room temperature.

I thaw my turkey on the sink in cold water that I change now and then. When it is defrosted I let the water out, wash off the turkey, put it in the pan and do what it is I do to prepare it to cook. I wash my sink out really well and nothing drips or contaminates anything. I also wash my hands before handling the turkey and a few times when I am all done preparing it.

Yep, and they're dancing with poultry! Just kidding dancers.

If you're having trouble with a drippy turkey, you need to stuff it. I know, that was bad but its all I've got.

Directions say, let the bird chill in the sink for a few hours. How we doing?

Don't do that, 124c41. I just sprayed iced tea all over my computer.

The only thing I can think is that people have stopped wiping up after themselves. What's with all this advice to not wash your poultry and to take a frozen bird directly from the freezer to the oven?

Yeah, it works to put the frozen bird in the oven, if you happen to have forgotten to thaw it out, but, for Pete's sake, people. Use some common kitchen sanitation and don't lick the raw bird.
