Compare the variety of Authentic Cuisines available in both cities, and tell me which one you like better.

Deep Dish Pizza Vs. Cajun food.

My vote goes to New Orleans. I like spicy Cajun stuff (though vegetarian options are very limited). Coming from Jersey, I cant accept "Deep dish" as a type of pizza .

Yes, New Orleans has great restaurants however you can't just limit Chicago to Deep Dish and NO to Cajun. Went to Irene's
Cuisine (Italian) and several great seafood places (not all Cajun).
btw: Deep dish originated in Chicago (and I do love it) but Chicago always had thin crust too.

For me it is absolutely New Orleans. I guess because it has a regional set of flavors I identify with that specific part of the country only.

Plus, I love cajun food. Pizza just isn't that special (to me). Actually that's not true. When I am eating pizza in Italy it is pretty special.

Which child do you like better.

Both are outstanding food cities. Seafood-New Orleans, Meat-Chicago. I love both of them.

New Orleans has the most distinctive food in this country and is known throughout the civilized world. Chicago is nothing but second-rate New York or San Fransisco. NO is scarcely limited to Cajun food. New Orleans built its reputation on classic French style with local ingredients. Who but a McDonald's regular would compare Oysters Rockefeller to a pizza?

I had to vote for Chicago because when I think of New Orleans, I think of Cajun and that is, probably one of the few ethnic type of food I really am not crazy over.

Chicago has a great deal to offer more than pizza, hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches...
