It is cold and snowy outside so I took out my chicken soup from the freezer and we have it with rice. For dessert fluffy warm cream of wheat with warm blueberry compote and a cup of Indian masala tea
I have left over slices of roast in an au jus gravy....I am thinking it will re-emerge as beef lo-mien tonight....with the addition of some carrot, onion and celery, to the gravy. The gravy will also get some grated ginger and some honey added plus some teriyaki sauce. I even have the lo-mien noodles in the pantry. Asparagus on the side.
Seems like everyone's cleaning out the fridge! We just got a new (to us) fridge, so, not full of leftovers yet.
We had taco salad with homemade taco seasoning in the ground beef, homemade ranch dressing, salsa, and shredded Cheddar over lettuce & cherry tomatoes. DH now says I must always make the taco seasoning, because it's much better than the commercial stuff. LOL
Dessert/snack will likely be yogurt with mixed berries.
