Last night before we take off for 2 weeks, so what is in the fridge will be in our tummies tonight: pork chops (spoiled brat's suggestion) waldorf salad, bok choy and snow peas.
Rib eye, salmon, spaghetti alio I olio I pepperoncini (SO's ever so favorite - grrr), lots of salad, ice watermelon for SO - on the patio!
Had 20 minutes to a medical appointment and raided the wine clearance at the Kroger store across the street. Was not planned but 12 bottles discontinued very good reds at 4-7$ instead of 15-20$. Put them on the counter with a note "for some one special - please share".
I have some thin NY strips marinating (soy sauce, sherry, garlic, miso paste, brown sugar, a splash of Chinese dark vinegar and a squeeze of lemon) I will grill them tonight and serve with rice and steamed broccoli. I also have some left over asparagus spears that I will re-offer along with it.
Tonight probably some sort of curry dish ... I have a bunch of sauces that I want to try. Will have the sauce with chicken and brown rice on naan. Yum!
Crunchy Quinoa burgers on whole wheat rolls. Potato salad and broccoli slaw.
