I made southern fried chicken, corn on the cob, corn bread, with a green salad. Dessert home made brownies in vanilla ice cream. And of course, ice tea.

It is already smelling mighty delicious!
I LOVE all the root vegetables, but sometimes I think parsnips can be too sweet in a stew. Was it OK?

Oh my goodness if our roads were treacherous I'd be coming down there to beat you up buddy. Like it's not bad enough reading what good food folks are cooking here now this is just torture. We won't see a grill for months yet up here. Then brownies for dessert that is like Jello who doesn't like & make room for brownies or Jello?

Ok since I am going to be busy tomorrow, I am posting what I'm making now.
Slow cooker roast pork with balsamic vinegar glaze and roast green beans

2lb boneless pork roast
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. roasted red pepper flakes
1/3 c chicken broth
1/3 c balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp. wostershire sauce
1 tbsp. honey

Rub roast with garlic powder and red pepper flakes, place in crock pot, mix chicken broth, balsamic vinegar and wostershire, pour over roast, then top with the honey. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8. When cooked remove, and pull pork with forks, cover with sauce at bottom of crock pot and place on warm until ready to serve. 5 WW pts

Roast green beans
12 oz. green beans clean and dry
2 tsp. of olive oil
parmesean cheese
Heat oven to 425. Lay Reynolds wrap on cookie sheet, place green beans on sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Heat for 10 minutes, take out, and flip green beans, cover with parmesean cheese and put back in oven for 5 minutes.
Sat tuned, I have great recipes for WW chocolate cake, and more! Have a great Sabbath all!

Sounds like a winner! And to Satx56, that's making my mouth water looking at it!

We grilled out tonight. Haven't done that in a couple of weeks. Thick ribeyes, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, Caesar salad, and Texas toast. Sweet iced tea to drink. We ate earlier than normal because my fiance had to catch a flight out so that means I'm alone tonight.

Pardon my unseemly drooling.

Dinner was snackish here tonight - cheese, pepperoni, celery, pickles.
