I went to Long Horn Steak House for supper last eve and had the chopped steak, a wedge, potato skins, a cup of coffee, a glass of water and a roll with honey butter.
I brought home 1/2 of everything except for the potato skins, I brought home 4 of the 6 that were served.

Last night I had my go to meal for when I'm not feeling well or just being lazy: frozen fish fillets with rice and green peas together. It passed. For dessert we had a delicious apple crumble I made Sunday afternoon. It's almost gone.

Later this morning I'll put a 4 lb pork butt in the crock pot for BBQ with cole slaw on big buns and I'll make some potato salad. High today of 82 expected so I'm going to pretend it is still summer. And I spy a few ripe tomatoes on the vine so I declare it is still summer.

Sounds good but I've never heard of cooked lettuce.I've only had it in a fresh salad. Do you cook lettuce often? Iceberg too?
