We had a roast that was made in my slow cooker with pepperoncinis, mushrooms and onions. I served it with rice, cream-style corn and white bread.

Not sure what to make tomorrow. Maybe spaghetti?

roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and kale salad. Boy has Kale become popular, I guess it is the green of the year? A few years ago none of us would have thought about useing it for anything. At least I wouldn't. I am sure there are a few that did.

Thursday: breakfast for dinner. Scrambled egg beater omelette with spinach and Swiss cheese, turkey sausage, toast with jam. Pay day tomorrow, so take out of some sort. Maybe Olivetto's Italian grill!

It's been raining off and mainly on for three days now. Time for comfort food! I am going to make a pasta dish I have been in love with for over ten years. I found the, recipe in an old Mark Bittman cookbook. He calls it Pasta with Whole Cloves of Garlic. It is ziti with a garlicky (10 cloves!), prosciutto, fresh tomato and fresh basil sauce. While I am out today I will pick up some rosemary crusty bread to go with it.

I do not think, but I could be wrong, that most of Mark Bittman's recipes are online. I did find someone who blogged about this recipe.
