Dinner tonight is shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, mashed sweet potatoes, sautéed spinach, wheat rolls, unsweetened iced tea to drink, and blackberry pie with vanilla ice cream, even though the Zingerman's sour cream coffee cake is going fast so that might end up as dessert.

little dab of left over mashed potatoes
wonderful winter salad with pears, glazed walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, mandarin oranges, craisins and a new raspberry vinaigrette I tried. i think I'm the only one who liked it.

Night out at Texas Roadhouse. I had steak and sweet potato with a bowl of chili. I'm stuffed.

Appetizer of stuffed clams. Followed by, Alaskan King crab with drawn butter and lemon slices, boiled potato with a little of the drawn butter (dripped from the crab as it made its way to my mouth ), corn & tomato salad, and brussel sprout & apple coleslaw. A nice glass of Merlot and no room for dessert.

Dinner was a small piece of tilapia with half a potato pastry and half a pumpkin pastry and half a glass of sprite.

Well, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. It is Christmas - the second time this year that I will prepare such a buffet:

Cornish hen
Dressing
Mashed potatoes
Gravy
Ham (brown sugar and pineapple atop)
Mustard greens with green onions and turnips
Cornbread
Cranberry salad (cranberries, pineapple and almonds)
Applesauce crisp
