Apple pie. I don't care for the texture of peaches after they have been cooked.

I like both but, I prefer peach pie to peach cobbler, however, I will take a big bowl filled with good homemade peach cobbler if you're offering it. Wait a minute, maybe you should give me a nice slice of apple pie too.

Wow this is a tough choice. In the fall I like apple pie and in the summer I like peach pie. I haven't made a peach pie in awhile. I also like them as cobblers too.

Often made the easy way, I like either one, but peach has the edge. Bake a store bought piecrust until slightly brown, break into several pieces. Pour a can of peaches into a pan, add butter, some sugar (if needed) and cinnamon and bring to a boil. Add the pieces of crust. This is for those who want a quickie dessert. When my mother was 90 and stopped making it from scratch, she always had a fast cobbler available.

My aunt made a pear cobbler from pears from my tree. I have this tree in my back yard and it bears these rock hard green pears. Not a big fan of these pears and most of them just fall to the grown and rotten. The pear cobbler looked good and smell good to but I wasn't willing to try it though.

Pears are supposed to be picked when green and hard. They soften and ripen after being picked, when stored at cool (not cold) temperatures. I made a half-dozen fresh pear pies from pears of the trees in my parents' orchard, this year, but they had to ripen for about a week inside, first.

Absolutely. Either one would be mighty fine (warm) with BBIC on top.

OK thanks for that info, my aunt calls them canning pears.
