I haven't had peach cobbler so I can't judge and for me the best pie is cherry pie and the best cobbler is blackberry.

But we had peach (melocontones) in chantilliy cream growing up.

You know if I do happen to come across good peaches at the farmers market when in season I will make a cobbler just to try it. First husband loved apple pie so it was always a desert option.

Strawberry-rhubarb cobbler, or boysenberry pie. Both irressistible! Peach and apple are so ordinary, sorry OP. I couldn't restrain myself.

Saying of which when are apples and peaches in season? Does anyone know, cause I would love to make a pie and a cobbler and report back.

I've heard of people doing this... Is it really that good?! And have you ever heard of people putting a cheese slice on hot apple pie?! I've heard that a few times... Sounds disgusting.

Chicago deep dish is light years ahead of NY Style. No comparison.

Apple pie for the versatility. You can't add melted cheese to peach cobbler.

Only if it's a Granny Smith Apple pie with a crumble topping. Halve the sugar.

Peach cobbler is way too sweet and too gooey.
