I saw in the store yesterday, Red Lobster is selling it's cheese biscuit mix complete with herb butter. I had to buy a package and make them. OMG, taste exactly the same as what you get in a Red Lobster. I ate 5 during dinner last night.

Once, while involved in to technical work in one of their stores, I watched their quality control. If they aren't served right on time they get tossed. They tossed a lot of them because they are always making them.

Maybe they figured out how to use what would usually be trashed? I am not saying they would be anything less than good, it is just that I bet someone figured out that if they throw so many out, why not just sell them because no one will expect them to be from the oven to the plate. While they are probably all considered fresh, chances are they would have been waste.

Good thinking though, if they do that instead of throwing out good biscuits. No kidding, in an hour or so I saw enough biscuits tossed that you could feed lots of people. Wasn't an isolated situation.

They are darn good though.

You'd think they would donate them. There are several chains here that donate unsold baked goods daily to homeless shelters. Good PR and good stewardship.

The freaky government won't let them.

I don't know how long you posters have been going to RL, but those biscuits taste nothing like they did years ago. I've written to them mentioning this and they admit that the recipe has changed but they say for the better. I say that there is no taste to them now at all !
