You don't realize they are frozen by the hundreds of thousands? Fresh doesn't even enter into the equation...
In all fairness, the poster could be referring to the length of time it sits after frying before being served. I would certainly consider a fried frozen fish patty served immediately fresher than one served after sitting for ten minutes on the serving line.

Seriously? That was your take on my comment? How could anyone think McDonalds is fileting fresh caught pollock in the back? Of course I meant freshly fried versus fried and held.
Friendly's restaurants I used to get the "Fishamajig" sandwich. I really enjoyed it, I think they used to put some cheese on it. Haven't had one in years. The only way to get them now is in a "platter" option.
I had a Filet-O-Fish last Friday while on the road. While pretty much anything tastes good four hours into a seven-hour drive, this particular sandwich was darn tasty. I just wish McD's would make the fish bigger and the bun smaller.

I used to love Filet-O-Fishes but haven't had one in years, the last one I had I was so disappointed. Now I keep reading on places like Reddit when they ask fast food workers what NOT to order...Filet-O-Fish is always mentioned. Of course, not all MickeyD's are the same. I just probably won't have one again.
Interestingly enough, I did see an ad for the Wendy's fish sandwich the other day and it did look pretty good.
Regarding Tuna Melts -those are divine. Can't really compare those with a fish sandwich w/ cheese. Totally different things IMO.
