Yup just ate some tri tip tonight that soaked 24 hours in my favorite brew. Dried then rubbed with no salt seasonings and another 4 days in the fridge. Indirect grill smoked with hickory.

Wow, that does sound good. But 4 days in the fridge? Does the beer help preserve the meat and keep it from spoiling? I've had meat get nasty after just a couple or 3 days before.

maybe it depends on depends on the beer,,,

if it is old milwaukess best,,,,, i wouldnt leave it ,,more than a day,,well, i probly wouldnt use it,,unless i had company or family i didnt like..

Yes, it is. It's a scientific fact. Also, if you're marinating with beer, you're obligated to taste it before using it as a marinade. If you're not sure after the first taste, try again.
