Does any one know of a good apple peeler corer that will give a thick slice?

I've got a great little peeler/ corer, but the slices are really thin. They work great for dried apples, but for something like an apple pie, they cook into applesauce by the time the crust is done.

(I'm whining because I hand peeled and cored 4 pounds of apples for an Apple Brown Betty yesterday.)

Do you have a Target nearby? They tend to have a good selection of kitchen tools.
