Has anyone ever used a combination of melted semisweet chocolate & brown sugar for dipping cookies?
I have a recipe from a Williams Sonoma cookbook that says to use 4 oz of semi sweet chocoalte combined with 1 cup of firmly packed light brown sugar. It's a for a chocolate hazelnut biscotti recipe.
I've googled it and can't come up with any similar recipes. I hate to waste 4 oz of chocolate if it's not going to be good.
Anyone???

melted chocolate and brown sugar,,,,im thinking that would be good with just about anything,,if you like sweet,,
id eat that by itself-sounds good on ice cream!
i went to a gathering a year ago, and one of them chocolate fountains was there,,,ive seen pics and all but never tried one,,
it was funny,,, everyone was looking at it,,but no one was trying it,,, so i grabbed a cup and started trying it,,,i thought it was good- super rich,,,,but damn was it tasty
and then the others tried,,apparantly someone said it will splatter all over you,,so no one wanted chocolate on them
those chocolate fountains are popular at weddings around here. I've never seen then serve with anything but fruit or marshmallows...never to drink from a cup. only thing bad is little kids grab an apple, stick it under the fountain, take a bite and then stick rest of apple back under the fountain, effectively double dipping. First time I saw that I decided not to eat anything from that fountain again.
