Yes, you are alone. No one else does that. No one.

This is why I love this forum. It makes me feel normal. Just yesterday I was asking my family to stop eating the halloween candy!! ( between you and me I am just as guilty)

"Very cute, Connie", the little blonde girl said while chewing Hershey kisses...

Mark/Connie -

My mother re-buys Halloween candy several times/season. She makes up little bags & if I'm at her home & she's gone to sleep (she's one of those "awake by 2am, asleep by 5pm" folks), sometimes I can hear rustling in her room. She's fallen several times, so it alerts me & upon opening her door several times, she's been "caught" sitting on her bed, bag in hand with a flashlight! How funny is that! I get a sheepish grin, a laugh, close the door & proceed to hear rustling for 20-min!

Now, when I hear rustling, I just know that "like Mark", Mom is rummaging thru the children's treats...

To add to the story, I used to have a kitty who chewed plastic or any other "toy" carelessly abandoned in Kitt'N territory. Again, if I heard midnight rustling, it was usually Boots chewing on something she shouldn't be chewing. One time, I heard rustling, loudly whispered "Get out of there!", as I usually did & my Mom answered back "Oh, it's me. I'm eating candy..."

"Thanks for the read", the little blonde girl said while chewing Hershey's kisses...

Happy Halloween! Enjoy your treats! Baltic_Celt

For once, I am waiting to buy candy.

Every year I buy early and end up picking my favorites out of the bags, then a few of the things that are left, and a few more, until there is nothing in the bags but the broken hearts of all the neighborhood ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and witches.

No, my friend, you are not alone. I almost bought candy yesterday, but stopped myself. I am bound and determined to only buy candy ONCE this Halloween.

How was your roast?

Well, I HAD to test it to make sure it was fresh, I wouldn't want to give the kids bad candy!!!
