I'm with you on that. When someone says "it tastes like chicken", I'll just keep eating chicken. And definitely no dogs. I got invited to "drink rum and eat dog" in the Philippines. I said I don't eat dogs. They're my friends. He said No, not American dog. Filipino dog. Hey man. A Labrador is a Labrador in any other language.

Ive tried just about anything when I was younger. To dog, cat, lizards, snakes, balut (in the Philippines) horse (when I lived in Europe) sweet meaty Hawaiian cockroaches (that roam the sugar cane fields) the list is long.

Once my husband made us hamburgers for dinner. Halfway through dinner he disclosed that the meat was something other than hamburger. I could not finish. I don't eat meat anymore.

Nutria (swamp rat)

There are many ethnic cuisines I haven't sampled yet but hear intriguingly horrifying things about - Malaysian, Indonesian, Somalian, Lithuanian, Peruvian, Eskimo, Egyptian etc etc.

No bugs, though.

I do love insects - they are crunchy and taste a bit like pork rinds.

I'd like to try insects, although the first bite would be very difficult.

Don't bother trying llama. It's foul. You know how a camel smells? Well, llama is in the camel family.

I'm not going to be eating any of the those insect treats. No grubs for me.

Snake is tough and virtually flavorless. It's OK if you use a spiced breading and fry it and you have strong teeth.

I have had rattlesnake and python. Very different taste, but both pretty tough.
