Interesting about your experience with the Halibut. A few months ago we went to Hugo's Frog Bar
and I ordered Halibut. It had no taste what so ever....and it was expensive.
I read the article about fish not really being what it seems and I think this was the case.

We had so much fresh fish growing up. I worked in a neighborhood restaurant that had great fish
and there were many other good places too (as well as the grocery stores). And fish was
reasonably priced. Miss the Red Snapper, Halibut, Trout, Perch, Flounder... I suppose over fishing
was part of the problem.

Go to the fish counter at a reputable grocer and ask where it's from if it's not labeled. The tilapia I buy comes from Ecuador, which gets a good rating from Seafood Watch.
