When I was in college I was taking one course that met at around 11:00AM twice a week. For reasons that are inexplicable I used to eat before class, and it was a longer class, and by the time I got out I was hungry again.

One morning the professor asked this question at the beginning before he started, Do you have to eat twice? I was kind of shocked. I looked around the room and noticed a lot of people just nodding in agreement. But they were so casual about it, like that was just a given fact.

What was going on? lol

What was going on? My guess is that your peers ate breakfasts chock full of caffeine and sugar, resulting in an insulin spike that eventually led to a blood sugar crash by the time your class ended. So everybody ran out and stuffed themselves with more caffeine and sugar, starting the process all over again. Been there, done that. Got the t-shirt.

A lot of people feel hungry when they get bored. Was it a boring class?
