What is one of The Worst Things In The World? (In the listicle sense, not the human tragedy sense.) Answer: when you empty the first squirt of ketchup from the bottle and it's a watery, brown, puddle-like mess, and you can feel each individual shard of your slowly shattering heart as the liquid dampens your fries.
Thankfully, a group of young heroes has a solution: a mushroom-shaped 3-D printed cap insert with an opening that lets water collect at the bottom of the bottle, while the nozzle squirts out only pure, thick ketchup. See the video for details. There was a solution all this time! We have been fools.
I just shake the bottle first Voila! No watery ketchup!
Absolutely! Anyone over the age of 15 should have figured this out. For some reason, people are always looking for answers that cost money when free has been there all the time.
BTW, I generally shake the bottle, too, but one time I shook it so hard and with such force, that dang new-fangled plastic cap opened up and squirted catsup all over the counter!
Why all of you cannot understand the real issue here?
The issue is not the ketchup or the actual problem. It is the techniques that they are learning in a classroom to use engineering and design to solve a problem. It teaches them to to systematically work through manufacturing processes.
These guys obviously have smarts and will end up in a good high paying career.
