What starch would be the first one you would choose to never eat again?
I'm going with wheat.

I can make a lot of mean potato and rice meals. I'd miss bread. But man, no 'taters or rice? Couldn't do it. Or corn? Yep. Corn is my friend.

Corn.
Bread.
Wheat.
Rice.

I don't eat much of the above anyhow and there are excellent substitutes (except maybe for roasted ears of corn but it's been years since I ate that so...yeah.)

I would miss potatoes, both sweet and white.

Starch is, to me, basically carbs and not that useful or tasty. I'd definitely miss stuff like pizza but in the long run it would not be a big deal for me to give it up, as a food group.

I'd probably ultimately be okay without wheat...I tend to prefer corn-based things, anyway.

Y'all can pry my potatoes out of my cold, dead hands, though.

Corn, rice and potatoes all are essential in one or two foods I really love (but eat sparingly!): corn tortillas, fried rice, French fries.

I'll go with corn. There are wheat tortillas.

Boiled buttered corn with a smidgen of salt? Oh, dear lord that is good! Can't let that go!

Potatoes! Heck, I haven't had a baked potato in more than 25 years. I'm happy with rice, pasta and bread. No need the fries either.

I probably should've mentioned it as a mainstream starch.
There are actually a lot of starches that we don't really eat any more.
