My eating schedule is simple: 9am - 12 - 4pm - 7 - 9pm

You gotta constantly eat in properly sized portions and not over consume.

You gotta constantly eat within 3hr intervals with properly sized portions and not over consume. The reason some people are overweight because too much gap between lunch and dinner.

I'm really active right now. I mountain bike twice a week and do a short workout on other days so I eat a lot. Usually every 3 hours.

Not true. Reason most people are overweight is due to bad food choices and sedentary lifestyles.

In my area, many commuting to the city walk or bike to the bus station. Trails and pavements are provided for this.

That all depends. I get up at 4:45, eat at 7-ish, and then have a light mid-morning snack. Lunch around noon. Dinner at 5-ish. Then nothing until the following morning again. Sometime after dinner I usually have a can of soda. My hungriest times are morning through lunch. The rest of the day, food isn't as important to me.

You know, Adi, people who wait 7-8 hours are usually starving and make bad food choices, thus over eating, too. The body is typically in survival mode (fasting) when it doesn't see food within 6-8 hours, hence break the fast (breakfast) after 6-8 hours of sleep.

Sure, people can go that long if they want to lose weight, but I don't find it healthy, IMO

No I don't make bad food choices. Prepare healthy meals the night before and store them in your refrigerator. And yes, doing it over and over for 1 year has made me get used to eating in this manner as a lifestyle. I do hours of voluntary research in a lab, where no food is allowed.

I wait till I get hungry again, which usually happens 4 x per day about 3 hourly.

I always eat breakfast and rarely eat anything after about 7pm or so.

I generally eat nothing in between meals from breakfast to lunch and lunch to dinner. The more active you are, the less hungry you will be.

I am 65 and have always weighed approximately 100 lbs. at 5'1".

When I work, I eat breakfast at 7am, lunch a noon, dinner at 7pm. Like clockwork.

When I'm off, I find myself eating in sync with the people I happen to be with, which is, unfortunately, more often and heavier.

I guess work is better for me in that respect. . .
