Well I normally wouldn't eat insects but hey if they are cooked right and I'm in a place where it is a dish I might try them. I've had fried mealworms and they weren't so bad.
I have a funny feeling I've probably had many fried meal worms in my pancakes when I was a kid. Back then they were very common in cereals and flour. I think I lived through it.
All you who say you'd eat just about any animal, how about slugs, wolf eels, centipedes, caterpillars, ants, scorpions, and earwigs?
I've eaten ants and scorpions. I'll eat most Arthropods that are edible except grubs - that warm, gooey, custard interior just doesn't make it past my texture filter. However, I'm sure if I was hungry the grubs would be on my plate too.

And keep in mind you would be on their plate if they had a chance.
For me it is more gradations of grey. Like I won't eat deer because I ate too much one time and the gamey thing is stuck in my head. Plus I heard about the deer version of Mad Cow (spread by bad knife cleanliness) that is likely to do bad things to people. So no deer. I eat natural beef only due to fear of Mad Cow disease. I stopped eating chicken at normal places because of the bleach in it.
I eat liver, kidneys but not brain or tongue. I have had tongue once on a dare after a wild Halloween party circa 2005. It was meant to scare and was just a large beef tongue on a platter.
I ate snake, frog and alligator at various times and would again eat all but frog. Had the frog, chocolate covered ants and also turtle as a child-upper middle class thing in Seattle then.
So if I were starving I would eat frog, snake, alligator, guinea pig(popular in Peru) roe, squirrel, fish, possibly cat or dog.
I used to attend Beast Feasts and ate 40 types of fowl including Ostrich, wild hogs and many stuff I cannot recall. I felt a bit sick after and I think it is because the stomach is not made for processing 50 types of animals in one sitting.
Generally i have an iron stomach.
I love fish and eat all kinds but cannot eat Lobster anymore because they are just too cute.
You are probably not going to believe this but I am inclined toward Vegetarianism. I was raised to love all vegetables and my Mom cooked them from fresh often.
I don't care for liver unless an exceptionally good job of prepping and cooking are done. I draw the line at still squirming critters. Other than that, if it doesn't have a health risk, I'll be game enough to try it.
Dogs and cats. I'll try everything else once. So far grasshopper's not my thing...
Oh, I don't think I can eat spiders if my life depended on it.
I'd eat a human only if I was the only thing available. Like those plane crash survivor soccer kids down south some years ago. But I hope that will never ever happen!!!
