I have heard a number of people say things along these lines. What exactly is the problem with eating a bottom feeder?
Good question! Why just cod fish? Makes me wonder because lots of very delicious fish come from the bottom.
Examples of bottom feeding fish species groups are flatfish (halibut, flounder, plaice, sole), eels, cod, haddock, bass, grouper, carp, bream (snapper) and some species of catfish and shark. Not to forget shrimp that are so popular here.
Not a problem for me... Just need to eat in moderation.
Most wild game like deer, elk, bison, raccoon, squirrel, rabbit, horse, dog, cat, ostrich, kangaroo, boar, goose, etc.... the list goes on. I never had it and don't have the desire to try any of these animals. Just not something I am used to eating growing up on LI NY. Hubby will try anything once and has had, wild boar sausage, ostrich, kangaroo, rabbit, squirrel, deer. He has tried some of these at those Brazilian BBQ restaurants.
None. I used to think monkey but as I've grown and travelled ate weird stuff all over the world nothing really seem uneatable. I'd literally eat any animal as long as it wouldn't make me sick (well besides humans clearly).
Edit: I thought this would go without saying but nothing illegal or on an endangered species list.
Any baby animal as well as anything that's not a chicken, turkey, fish, pig, or cow.
