Best donut as a donut: A tie between Krispy Kreme and the Maple Bacon Long John at Marianos

Best donut (In any form): Lou's Cruller French Toast from Lou's Restaurant in Hanover, NH! Next time I am in Hanover I will be back there for sure!

The real Dunkin Donut dunking donut. Basically an old fashioned with an attached stubby batter handle. Ideal for dunking in coffee.

The local Big-8 grocery store a couple of blocks from where I live used to bake some delicious donuts as good as any that I've ever had. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, maple . . . all good. I like my donuts cold.

Donuts are supposed to be greasy, they swim on hot oil. Cake donuts are a variety of donuts with a thicker batter. If you don't like greasy donuts, order ones that aren't so greasy.

Most donut fans that likes fresh ones off the fryer enjoy the oily mess just like fried food.

I did a ride along with my brother-in-law the cop, he let me in on a little secret, every donut shop is required by law to keep a stash of their best donuts hidden from regular customers and these things are without a doubt the best donuts I've ever tasted. always warm and they melt in your mouth and taste like fried doughey wonderfulness. Didn't matter what shop we stopped at that night, they all were like eating a perfect blend of grease, warmth, dough and smelled what I presume a beautiful angel's armpit would smell like. Remember to ask the next doughnut shop for their cop donuts next time.
