Do you avoid certain country's food exports? (ingredients, frozen, health)

I do. I check to see what country it comes from. I don't buy food imported from China, if possible.

Weird thing is you can look on a bag of frozen food and it's marked where it came from. (Usually.) If it's sitting there "fresh", who knows where it came from?

I don't buy food from China if I can avoid it.

At one of our local supermarket chains, at their fresh seafood counter, each item is labeled where it is from, whether it is wild caught or farm raised, along with the price per pound.

I never buy garlic from China, it's a root crop and there are too many stories of human sewage being used as fertilizer there.

I only buy seafood from the USA. Costs a tad more but I think its worth it.

I will not buy food from any asian countries. Seafood has to be from the USA.

Just say NO to China/Vietnam/.
In the U.S. most states now test for harmful chemicals in their fish. The state regs most of the time will
show how much if any of different types of fish one should have per month.

You won't see that from the Asian countries. I have always been a strong advocate of NOT buying Swai and other fish from
Asian countries as as others have said, the waters are very very polluted and I don't want to eat fish that are raised in
that environment.

I avoid Chinese and Viet Namese food exports but I'm very careful as well about Canadian food products because they contain many ingredients from China. For example, I know a person in the garlic bread business there who has told me that all the garlic is from China because it's cheaper than California garlic. The frozen garlic bread is exported here. The Canadians import many products that are not imported here directly.
