Eating fried seafood is counter productive from a health POV. I know there are people that will eat anything fried, it defeats the reason we need to eat seafood.

Fish lightly fried without batter is fine. Locks in the fish moisture and flavor. The type of battered fish you get at Red Lobster and places have too much bread crumbs and not enough fish.
And people eat the heavily battered fish and dip it in so much tartar sauce, you can't taste the fish at all.
