Most fish. There are so many different types, I just keep thinking that surely there must be some type that I'll just love. Nope. Not so far, anyway. Disappointment, each time.

I thought, maybe it's just me, but I've had squid in other dishes at restaurants, and I didn't care for it then, either. I've never tried squid -- not even once -- and you just guaranteed that I never will. You lost me at "de-beaking." THANK YOU!

Coffee. I want to like it and I keep trying it every now and again but it's just not happening. Everybody seems to drink coffee but me (and my fiance) so I figure I must be missing out on something good. Look's like I'll just keep missing out. I just don't like the taste.

I'm with you on this one, wadejay.

I've tried beer on several occasions. ...and everytime, I've tried it in hopes that it will taste better to me. But it never works out .

I want to like it (gotta love the ubiquitous mass marketing of this stuff!) but the taste is just aweful!

It's probably the hops (bitter) you are reacting to. Have you tried wheat beer or another beer with little to no hops?

Canned sardines. Tried to like them because they're healthy and they are relatively cheap.

I have acquired a taste for herring. Still not my favorite but I actually get hungry for them occasionally, if I have a fresh lemon and sometimes a tad of hot sauce to go with them.

Unfortunately, my favorite way is lightly fried with a dipping sauce. If they are cooked just right, they are delicious but 30 seconds more and they can turn into rubbery things with little taste.

Prefer shrimp any day of the week though

Oh, yes...pumpkin!

It just LOOKS so earthy and autumny and nice, but EVERY time I think it will be the fall nirvana that everyone talks about...every time I try it again...it just....BLEH! I once mixed a can of pumpkin with some vanilla pudding mix/spices, honestly thinking it would be tasty, and I almost vomited. Same result with any pie I've tried a bite of. Something about pumpkin.

Glad this isn't an unusual phenomenon about foods...ha.

I (and I suspect lots of other non-bitter tasters [http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/inheritance/ptc/] ) LOVE 'em...mostly for the texture. They taste like pretty much nothing to me; maybe a bit sweet. I buy the steam-in-bag microwavable ones all the time!
