Fast food. I always regret eating that crap!
I eat it when I don't have time to go out or cook....which isn't often, but I always feel nasty after ordering from Micky Dee's or BK.

What's the food and why do you keep trying?

PS. I don't have one. If it's an "acquired taste" and I didn't acquire the taste for it on the first go-round, then that's our one and only date. There are so many foods that I *do* enjoy; I don't need this new food to try and woo me.
Mushrooms.

My dad keeps telling me that when he was young, he hated mushrooms... and then eventually developed a taste for them to the point where he loves them now. Maybe it's a texture thing for me, but I don't like the taste of mushrooms either.

I think that you're right about it being a texture issue. I love mushrooms (and their texture) but I can't stand tofu (because of its texture). People try to tell me that tofu has the same texture as mushrooms but I beg to differ. If they had the same texture, I'd like tofu. But nope...

Hey! Your husband is part Sicilian. You *have* to like red wine. It's your wifely duty. My boyfriend is Italian and was practically *disgusted* that I didn't like wine. He found one that he said that I would like and he was right. (Of course I don't remember what it is now, though...)

You'll never get me to like white wine, though. No. Except for Prosecco. I'm good with that now. (Almost *too* good!)

I'm not trying anything new. I have enough foods that I enjoy.

But I wanted to say to the almond milk haters--make sure you are buying the sweetened kind. The Plain style tastes of nothing.

Ahhhh! Yes! I thought it would be sweet but it wasn't, hence my dislike for it. I'll give it another whirl. But that's IT -- I'm with you in that I have enough foods that I like already. Like cookies.

Hahaha! That's how I felt too! "Why would I drink this if it smells like THAT?" But then I got a good one pushed on me. I can only have small sips and not even a full glass... baby steps.

Squid.

Years ago, I had a recipe for stuffed squid, and my ex and I spent literally hours cleaning, de-beaking, and otherwise preparing these things. At the end, I was disappointed when I discovered that I liked the stuffing, but not the squid. I thought, maybe it's just me, but I've had squid in other dishes at restaurants, and I didn't care for it then, either. Oddly enough, raw squid sashimi doesn't bother me as much as cooked squid, but I'm afraid it just won't be one of my favorites.
