My kids eat them I've never noticed a problem. It's one of the ways I can get fiber into my picky son.

I eat a lot of fiber but I can't handle these at all, way too much gas. I'll stick to my Smart Bran and high fiber foods.

I'll look into the chicory root thing mentioned in this thread. I never thought of that, I mean this was serious gas attacks and cramping.

I can eat high fiber foods but the Fiber One products bother my stomach. Even Fiber One cereal does this. They don't make me go but do give me an upset stomach. My mom eats the bars and enjoys them and does not have any gi problems. Everyone is different.
