I've grown partial to searching on www.recipezaar.com. I especially like that I can find ethnic recipes on there (like Indian) in addition to the basics.

My favorite recipe magazine is Cooking Light.

I love reading recipes. Now if I could only get around to making more of them instead of throwing things together on a whim!

I like recipezaar too.

I've tried writing down some of my own recipes in my little cooking binder, but I can't even follow my OWN instructions! Seriously!
I guess I'll just never make the same thing twice, and that's OK with me.

Americas Test Kitchen Family Cookbook and the Taste of Home Cookbook. I also have a Doubleday Cookbook that tells you how to do everything from stocking your pantry to how to cut your own meat. I use this one alot but it doesn't have any pictures.

I have probably more than 50 different cookbooks but these days almost all my recipes come from ones by Ina Garten (The Barefoot Contessa). Although she can occasionally be rather heavy-handed with butter and cream, I never have a problem finding deliciously healthy items that I know will be fabulous. She make veggies just sing! Although I have 4 of her books, I usually find the recipes online, print them out, and then use the printout as my shopping list. I am having a small dinner party this Friday and am making her 40 Cloves of Garlic Chicken, buttermilk mashed potatoes, Parmesan Roasted Asparagus, Tomato & Feta Salad and for dessert, homemade chocolate sorbet.

I record all of her shows to watch on the weekends and am often inspired by what she cooks and then go find the recipe to try on my own. She has a brand-new cookbook out Barefoot Contessa Back to Basics: Fabulous Flavor from Simple Ingredients and I will likely add that to my collection. You can go to the Food Network website and take a look at her recipes or even better, you should watch her show and be inspired as I am. I got all my other cookbooks by her at Costco but I know other places like Amazon or even Half Price Books will have some.

Athough I have lots of cookbooks which I sample from, for the tried-and-true standards I go back to the Better Homes and Gardens book my mom gave me when I got married (19 years ago!).
