Does anyone remember that it was Bill Cosby who was pushing New Coke on us in the commercials? I remember him taking a long swig and saying that we were going to like it better than Old Coke. Bill, you lied to us.

New Coke was no good and current Coke is no good. I prefer Mexican Coke.

Odd. I've always found Coke to be sweeter than Pepsi. I think my taste buds are off... but I have recently switched to Pepsi. "Born in the Carolinas!"

Bolivian or Peruvian coke costs more.

I prefer Mexican coke, but try not to drink it at all. I'm trying to cut down on my sugar intake.

Yes, I didn't like it. I also took the Pepsi Challenge (also back in the 80's, I think) and picked Coke!

"More people prefer Pepsi over Coke". More than what? They tried to infer that it was more than those who preferred Coke over Pepsi, I guess, but that's not what they said.

"More people prefer Pepsi over Coke, than prefer ice cream with sardines on it" would have been a little more logical. Something like that.

As many have stated, it was a lot sweeter and similar to Pepsi. Why they thought Coke drinkers wanted Coke to taste like Pepsi I will never understand. I mean, if we wanted something that tasted like pepsi we already had it......it was called pepsi and we would have been buying it instead of Coke.

I also took the "Pepsi Challenge" while on vacation somewhere once way back then. I can't remember where it was but they had one of the tables set up. I tried them both and of course could tell which was which immediately and told them I liked the Coke better......the guy was like ok well which one is that? I picked it and of course needless to say he was finished with me. lol

I was 6 years old in 1985. I'm sure I tried it but I have no memory of it. I do remember Crystal Pepsi which I wish they'd come out with again (even though I'm not a Pepsi fan).
