I like fruits more than usual. Easy finger food like nuts and chips, or peanut butter filled pretzels.

Salads with cucumber - especially tomatoes, cucumber and onion. Simple dressing of olive oil, salt, and vinegar ..... maybe a bit of hot sauce if the mood strikes.

Sweetened buttermilk with a little orange juice splashed in. For some reason that is supremely cooling.

A cherry snow cone. And it has to be in that paper cone, not a cup. I actually haven't had one of these in years but as a kid in Florida these always hit the spot on hot, steamy, summer days. And when you're mostly done with it, there was that sweet cherry-flavored juice in the bottom of the cone. Heaven!
