We did watermelon with salt but never sugar. As for the question at hand, i never crave any food on a hot summer day. Liquids, yes (lemonade, sweet tea, shakes, etc) but never food.

No one adds sugar to watermelon, seriously? Mom used to scoop out the watermelon and add sugar and ice and it would be the greatest summer treat ever.

Also love freezer bars. Damn its 90 here with no a/c and I am craving them.

Slushies, the kind with the little ice chunks that don't melt away too fast. Water and Ice by my old house had them, I miss them!
