For dinner, I love BLT'S and corn on the cob.

As far as salt on fruit, love it on watermelon, cantaloupe, Honeydew melon and sometimes on apples.

Room temp watermelon (which tastes a bit cool). Seriously. Refrigerating it ruins it for me.

I've heard there are people who will cut a small hole in a watermelon, let the juice drain, and then upend a bottle of vodka into the hole. I do not recommend this. It is for informational purposes only.

A big salad with a cold beer. Or a grilled hot dog with the works and an ice cold beer.

I love country food with a cold beverage in the summer. Fried chicken or BBQ, macaroni and cheese, a salad, collard greens, and ice tea.

Despite my love for air-popped popcorn (hence the name), I LOVE a nice tomato sammich. Lots of mayo on the cold tomatoes on the hottest of days is just HEAVEN.

Growing up, on hot days my mom would serve cold fried chicken, potato salad (made with cubed potatoes, celery, onion, a touch of mayo, and lots of apple cider vinegar. With black pepper to finish! best potato salad, ever!), and deviled eggs (heavy on the mustard!).

To this day, still one of my most fave summer meals!
