Hubby and I went with high hopes, as there isn't really anything Italian here in Lafayette LA, at least nothing that compares with what we had available in CT.

I ordered the Sea Bass Sicilian Style, he ordered the Veal Cutlet Parmiagana. While the sauces were good, the veal honestly appeared to be veal patties, flaked and formed! And my Sea Bass (overcooked) was more like a cod filet than actual Sea Bass. Seemed too thin to be bass, to me.

Maybe we just hit them on an off night. Should we give them another chance? It's basically just the owner guy and his elderly mother, and probably some prep/helpers in the back.
who knows, it may have been a cod filet; as for the veal, I think most of the time, veal Parmiagana is going to be a veal pattie. Too bad, though I don't eat veal, according to my daughter and the spoiled brat it is the best meat there is. I will stick with Lamb as the best.

Not when it is OFF TOPIC (and usually erroneous).

^^exactly! The OP is asking our opinion about returning to the restaurant--not soliciting hysterical comments regarding the ingestion of certain FOOD items.

To the OP--I would be inclined to give the place another shot after a while. Sometimes it really does take a place a few weeks to really hit their rhythm.

And to those who don't think there is authentic Italian cuisine in Louisiana, try reading a little about the culinary history of New Orleans (to name one readily available history).
